Parallel Solar Inverters to 3 Phase

Introduction:

As solar energy becomes increasingly common in various industries, When it comes to requiring three-phase power, parallel connection of solar inverters becomes essential. In this article, we will explore the process and benefits of parallel connecting solar inverters to 3 phase systems.


1. What is 3 Phase Solar Systems:

In a 3 phase system, three separate power lines, or phases, are used to deliver electricity. Each phase is 120 degrees out of phase with the other two, resulting in a more efficient power distribution. Most Sacolar inverters support parallel to three-phase.



2. Why Parallel to 3-phase:

Parallel connection enhances system efficiency. By distributing the load across multiple inverters, the overall power conversion process becomes more balanced. Additionally, it ensures uninterrupted operation even if one inverter experiences a malfunction or maintenance. Many countries' households are accustomed to using three-phase systems, and Sacolar inverters stably support parallel three-phase systems.

3. How to choose inverter:

To parallel solar inverters to 3 phase, selecting inverters that support parallel connection are essential. Inverters should be compatible and have communication capabilities to synchronize their operation. The HX-BP series inverter supports 6 units of parallel, with a maximum of 4 units of one phase.

4. How to parallel to 3 phase:

① Connect The Parallel Communication Cable;
② Connect Current sharing cable (Two units in the same phase need to be connected, but not in different phases);
③ After connecting the cable, connect the battery to set the parallel mode;
④ Turn off the inverter switch (if it is not turned off, parallel operation cannot be set)
⑤ Set 3 phase mode.
